Farewell July.....Hello August!

Well I thought I was doing well, but realized it's been over 2 weeks since my post - oops!  Here's a recap of the past couple weeks....it's been fun!

(1) On Ryan's day off we went to the Sea Life Aquarium and had a great time checking out all the fish!  We ate dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe and couldn't pass up the carousel without taking it for a spin.  It was a fun family day!

(2) We enjoyed a nice Sunday afternoon at the park feeding the ducks and having fun on the playground - love this girl so much!

(3) Monsoon season has started and Hannah was amazed by the crazy storms that we have gotten!  Here's her & Ryan checking out the pouring rain and another pic of her trying to catch the rain during another storm (it's still weird to me that it can be raining, but still be 90 degrees out).

(4) Hannah went roller skating for the first time!  Well let's say we put roller skates on and she walked around in a funny way and I tried to roll her around, then after about 10 minutes she wanted to go play in the arcade instead.  Oh well - it was worth trying and she looked SO cute in her skates!

(5) Hannah had a blast at the youth museum playing with her buddies!  She was really into the sticker room, which was quite cool!  It's a fun place to take the kiddos - especially when it's so hot!

(6) Hannah has been obsessed with play kitchens for quite some time now and I surprised her with this craigslist steal - she was very happy to start cooking up some food right away!  And goodness knows I didn't get my mom's cooking skills, so Hannah should probably start practicing now! ;o)

(7) We checked out this neat class through the city called "Meet the Creature" and it was a lot of fun!  I thought they'd have one or two animals, but they had a bunch for the kiddos to pet and hold!  Hannah got to pet an armadillo, some bunnies, chickens, a turtle, a lizard (which she almost threw across the room as soon as I set him on her lap, thankfully I still had my hands on him!) and her favorite was a giant rabbit that was roaming around the room.  We also got to see a giant toad and I held an adorable little gecko (can't remember what type, but I had never seen one like him before) - it was pretty cool!

("Can I have one Mom??")

(8) Just a few pics of our silly girl!  She decided to try on my gym shoes and take a stroll around the house - she thought she was pretty cool!  For some reason she LOVES to help Ryan clean up the dog poop in the yard - first thing when she gets outside she scans the area and runs for the pooper scooper. =)  Let's hope she's as helpful with the chores when she gets older! ;o)  The other pic is of Ryan running her around the yard in the wagon and she was in hysterics!  And we can't forget her wonderful brothers - she just loves her Jasper & Bailey (as you can clearly see below)!

(9) This past weekend we went to a birthday celebration for our friend's kiddos Carly (3) & Ella (1).  I feel like we were just celebrating Carly's 1st birthday and now she's 3 - so crazy how fast time flies by!  I'm glad that we have so many wonderful friends that Hannah can grow up with!

(Playing in the kitchen of course!)

(The older kids had a relay race with dressup clothes, so Hannah wanted to participate - she grabbed this whole getup herself and put it on)

(Happy Birthday Carly & Ella!!)

(Sharing a ride with her buddy Dean)

(10) We finally went and tried the Hangar Cafe in Chandler and Hannah really enjoyed watching the airplanes take off & land!  The food was yummy too - we'll definitely have to go back!

And last but not least, we did celebrate our 7-year anniversary this month!  Well I should clarify, we had our 7-year anniversary, but Ryan had to work overtime, so we are trying to plan a nice dinner at the Melting Pot soon (yum)!  We have made some great memories these past 7 years and I look forward to the next 7!!
